I have way too many lip products and I love trying new ones out. I admit I’m pretty picky and I’ve tried for years to pull off lipstick – but I know that glosses, balms and tints are more my comfort zone. They’re moisturizing and add just a hint of colour, so it doesn’t matter if they wear off throughout the day – as opposed to when I attempt a red lip and end up having to wipe off what’s left after less than an hour.
Here are some of the lip products that I’m loving lately. Some I’ve been buying on repeat for years and some are new contenders that have really impressed me.
Yves Saint Laurent Volupté Tint-in-Balm
This stuff was a splurge, but I had been thinking about it/wanting it for so long that I finally had to bite the bullet and buy it! And it didn’t disappoint – I’m already planning on getting a different colour when this one is used up.
Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector
I bought this in a different shade years ago and just recently remembered how much I liked it and purchased this shade last month. Again, it’s super moisturizing and gives a nice hint of colour (I’m really liking the purple shade with my skin tone and hair colour!) and it’s thick but not sticky.
Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask
I tried a sample of this stuff from Sephora and fell in love – my lips just felt so good for hours and I love the colour. The packaging/squeeze tube isn’t ideal (I wish you could just swipe it on your lips) but I guess since it is pretty thick, it’s easier to squeeze some on your finger to apply.
Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment and Sugar Lip Caramel Hydrating Balm
I’ve been using the Fresh Sugar Treatment in “rose” for years and I’ve gone through so many tubes – it’s so moisturizing, feels amazing and delivers the perfect amount of colour. (It also happens to be what I wore on my wedding day). I recently was gifted the caramel balm and it’s just as great minus the colour. I keep it on my desk to keep my lips hydrated throughout the day. And it smells delicious too!
